Let’s be honest: getting a loan in Iran often feels like navigating a bureaucratic maze blindfolded. From cryptic terms to clunky user flows, it’s a process that’s full of friction and zero emotional safety.
LoanYar is a redesign project born out of one big question:
“What if applying for a loan felt human, clear, and even… comforting?”
This project was my take on turning a high-stress financial task into a soft, friendly experience — one that respects the user’s emotions as much as their time.
Problem Statement
Through personal experience and user observation, I saw recurring pain points in Iranian mobile banking apps:
Lack of clarity: Users don’t know what they’re signing up for.
Cold tone: Feels robotic, transactional — not trust-building.
Overcomplicated flows: Too many steps with poor hierarchy.
Fear of rejection: The infamous “need for guarantor” kills motivation.
So, I decided to reimagine this experience from the ground up.
